In times past, the Cops on Top Memorial Climbing Team has had available to them electronic equipment that allowed for the team to post photographs of their progress up the mountain. Unfortunately, the equipment required to reliably post the photographs from the 2009 Cops on Top Sergeant Stephen Liczbinski Aconcagua Memorial Expedition could not consistently transmit the data to send the photos of the current expedition. A decision was made to not unduly jeopardize the team at altitude as they made repeated attempts to send the data for the photographs to be posted on the site.
Still, it is important for those following the team's progress to be able to visualize the areas described by the team members in their satellite updates. To that end, I have posted photos from the 2004 Cops on Top Detective James Cawley Aconcagua Memorial Expedition, for the sole purpose of illustrating the team's position and the surroundings they may be experiencing as they progress up the mountain.
