The Cops on Top 2009 Aconacgua memorial expedition was conducted in honor of Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski of the Philadelphia Police Department who was murdered on May 3, 2008 while attempting to apprehend bank robbers. The photos contained in this gallery document that expedition.

The team stopped to rest at a glacier. There was a small creek flowing underneath that was slowly eatting it away. On the return trip (back home) the glacier had collapsed and we were no longer able to look at its underbelly.
