The New York team consisted of: Ken Hubert (NYPD), Tom Cooman (Macedon PD), John Colella (Macedon PD), Rachel Colella (Wayne County Sheriff's Office), William Powell (Macedon PD) and Stephanie Powell. On June 27th at approximately 6am the team started out for the 15 mile round trip "trek" up New York's Mount Marcy (Mount Marcy is 5344' tall). It started out with a short "downpour" followed by light rain. The summit was reached at 11am. After a few photos (with no views due to the rain and fog) we started back down with another "downpour" that lasted about 1/2 hour. Most of the day it rained till we got near Marcy Dam, the sun even came out for a few minutes there so we took a few more photos. For the last 3 miles out it was just cloudy till five minutes from the end. What do you think happened then (after we were starting to dry off pretty good)? It poured again (boy did the mountain gods show us "who was boss" ) so we were dripping wet again when we reached our cars...
